Anna is a multimedia producer, teen library associate, and archive assistant based out of Chicago.

Anna specializes in local history and archive media, and works in a variety of mediums, including radio, written stories, exhibition work, and curricula design. She most enjoys exploring how individual histories reflect greater arcs of American and world history.

When not writing and researching, you can find Anna reading aloud picture books, riding her bike, and singing wordless songs with her friends.

Audio Highlights

Anna produces and reports full length radio stories for broadcast and podcast. Most recently, she has been the principal reporter for several WBEZ’s Curious City stories and for the Chicago History Podcast with Tommy Henry.

Her next projects include associate producing season 2 of Unboxing Queer History, the Gerber/Hart Library and Archive‘s podcast.

Anna’s story on Chicago’s Oldest Families was featured in the Chicago Sun Times and the Jewish Council of Urban Affairs Newsletter. Her architectural history piece on the Medinah Temple was broadcasted on Reset with Sasha Ann Simons.
Anna produced and researched for this true crime piece on Silas Jayne, one of Chicago’s most deadly gangsters who controlled the horse racing scene. This episode was performed live at the Chicago History Museum at a members-only event.
Anna is going to be on the production team for the upcoming Season 2 of Unboxing Queer History, a podcast from the Gerber/Hart Library and Archives.

Programming Highlights

Anna is experienced in program design and delivery for multimedia production, podcasting, archival media, and poetry. She runs daily programming for Chicago Public Library’s YOUmedia Center, and does curriculum consulting in her spare time.
